D let his tongue slide over his lower lip and taste where Leon had kissed him. Hollow misery rang through him in waves so intense it made his face hurt. He couldn't do this. He couldn't allow it to happen. When had he lost control? Had he ever really been in control? He wasn't so sure now. He had teased Leon relentlessly never once suspecting him to turn the tables. D closed his eyes against the man before him and tried to collect himself. He opened them straight into an invasive blue glare.
"I think, Detective, we have to come to an understanding about last night." D was mortified to be doing this. Oh, it hurt. It hurt in the worst possible way. He'd never imagined how sickening it was to take one's own heart in there own hands and rip it asunder. Leon leaned in closer his expression stony and firm. D took a shallow breath a sudden sense of vertigo threatening to topple him from his perch.
"I must apologize for my wayward behavior. I will ensure it not to happen again. I was as you say, not myself. It was most kind of you to help me and I am in debited to you. I believe it would be best now if I were to be returning to the pet shop." D trailed off. His normal serene composure badly shaken he waited with baited breath for Leon's response. He couldn't rely on Leon to react in any particular way because this Leon was not the same person he thought he knew. D knew he would break into hysterical laughter if Leon threw one of his tirades. He would have been delighted to let Leon shake him until his teeth rattled. Instead Leon stood and pinned D between him and the counter's ledge forcing the stool off it's front legs and pushing his body in between the startled Count's knees.
"Is that so Count?" Leon asked in a misleading silky voice.
"So, I'm just a good way to relieve a little pent up stress?" Leon pushed the stool further off balance. D felt the hard line of the counter cutting into his back. He had the power to get away. One shove and Leon would be picking himself up from across the apartment but he couldn't make himself do it. Leon leaned in closer until his breath stirred the fine hairs on D's brow.
"Is that all I was D? A good time? Huh?" D's heart beat fast and loud in his chest. He tried to say yes and end it all. The words wouldn't form on his lips. Leon jostled the stool with his foot causing D to have to grab the counter top to steady himself. He went even further into D's personal space. He brought his lips close down to one of the small delicate ears.
"Isn't that what you want to tell me?" Leon whispered. D trembled in between the bars of his arms and bowed his head unable to respond.
"Come on Count, you can do it. Tell me. Tell me how much you enjoyed our little get together in that cool superior voice of yours. Tell me how it meant nothing really and how could I possibly expect it be more then that." D's black hair hid his face from Leon's view but not the evidence of the effects his taunting had on D. Leon saw the tears track down the bottom of his jaw line and watched one glistening jewel splash onto the stool. D was shaking so hard his teeth clicked together.
"You, ..." D started his voice cracking around the word. He drew a deep breath and tried again.
"You do not understand. It is not like that. I seek only to protect you." D bit out brokenly. Leon's body heat was so near, the scent of him wrapping around D making it harder to concentrate.
"Liar, you only want to protect yourself." D's head sprung up at the accusatory words.
"That is not so Detect..." Was all he got out before Leon took advantage of his open mouth and kissed him hard thrusting his tongue into the wet warmth. D's hands splayed out against the counter behind him his body arched up into the detective. Leon plundered his mouth brutally. He sucked as much of the air out of D as he could and just refused to let up. Leon kicked the stool out from underneath him and ground into D's pelvis holding the slighter man up by forcing him to wrap his legs around him. D's hands found his and clenched hard. Leon responded by twisting the Count's wrist behind the small of his back. D's wrists were so small Leon could hold them both securely in one hand. The other he brought up to D's head and buried in his hair tangling it painfully in his fingers.
D clung to him helpless in the on storm of Leon's brute passion. He was submerged in Leon. His body betrayed him flaming into desire. He whimpered against Leon's mouth. He was light headed and everything seemed surreal. Leon held him suspended against his body and pulled away from the support of the counter. D had a moment's sinking sensation before his legs resettled around Leon's hips. It felt strange to have his body manipulated in such away with his arms bent behind him leaving him open and vulnerable. Leon released his lips and D drank in the air greedily trying to dispel the bright bursts of color exploding behind his eyes. He gasped and bucked hard into Leon's hips when the detectives' mouth settled on the hollow of his neck.
"Leon, please, oh Leon." D entreated. Leon hoisted him up a bit higher onto his pelvis before answering.
"Oh, Leon, what? Is that oh Leon put me down or oh Leon don't stop? Hmmm?" Leon sucked and bit down determined to leave the biggest mark he could. D jerked in his arms but he held tight. He kissed the blossoming bruise gently and blew on it.
"Okay, I'll stop. For now." Leon tightened his grip in D's hair for emphasis. He carried D out the kitchen and straight through to his bedroom. Leon settled himself onto the edge of the bed refusing to give up his grip on the Count just yet. He worried at other soft spots around his face and neck for a bit licking the shell of his each of his ears, probing his tongue into the indention behind the earlobes. He tasted the flesh just beneath D's chin. Leon took his time making sure to keep his grip in check. He knew D could get away, he just wanted to make absolutely sure that D didn't want to get away. If he had to screw D right out of his mind each time the kami started to shut him out so be it and if D still insisted on this stupid façade then at least for a little while his mark would show on the delicate white skin in a reminder that D couldn't deny.
D murmured in Chinese breathlessly. His bones had melted and when Leon did release him D sank back against the mattress and gave up the fight. He didn't aid but he didn't resist either when Leon undid the clasps of his cheongsam. He shivered at the cool air against his skin and obligingly raised his hips so Leon could pull off the satin red pants he wore underneath it. He kept his eyes shut and let Leon take away all the pain and anxiety.
Leon ran his hands along D's ribcage. His stomach contracted at the insanely beautiful creature before him. He didn't bother pulling D's gown all the way off. The flaming red fabric an enticing backdrop spilling around D's body and giving it a slightly rosy hue. He was very happy he had had Jill bring some of his clothes now, very happy indeed. Leon massaged and rubbed D's torso and thighs enjoying the effect it had on D. A low steady purr could be heard which Leon thought was a good thing as along as he stayed in control this time. A little better prepared then the night before he had found and placed under one of his pillows a little bottle of oil. He kept one hand on the Count and reached with the other. Leon pulled the stopper out with his teeth and dribbled some of the thick liquid onto D's sex and his. D's breathed hitched in his throat and he screwed his eyes even tighter shut. Leon didn't prepare him as before but rather slowed his entry rocking into D a little at a time. D squirmed under him wanting him to get on with it but Leon wouldn't allow D to hurry him. Once fully sheathed inside the heated silk of D's body Leon treated him to full long strokes that were designed to nudge against his prostrate. D shook his head from side to side and bit his lip his hands stroking up and down Leon's forearms urging him to release the tension he was building in him. Leon thrust in as deep as he could making D gasp in pain that was pleasure. Leon slid his arms under the small of D's back and rolled. D's eyes flew open at the sudden shift as he felt himself even further impaled on Leon by the gravity shift.
"You okay, baby?" Leon asked stroking D's thighs and gently pumping his hips up into D. D could only nod mutely.
"Good." Leon replied and pumped harder into the heat above him. The red robe fluttered around D and brushed against Leon where there bodies where joined. Leon was turned on by the slide of the material against his skin and D's. Leon knew he wasn't going to last much longer and began caressing D's cock. D threw his head back at the blinding pleasure. He couldn't stop purring and each time he met and pushed back into Leon's strokes white hot sensations sizzled in him. Leon watched fascinated at the muscles in D's neck vibrating and sliding under his skin and the bruise he had left there, the purring filling the room. Leon came without meaning to taken almost by surprise and ground himself as deep as he could into D unable to stop the reflexive action. D let out a shrill noise and his whole body locked around Leon's suspended in time and was then taken over in spasm after spasm. Leon eased him down and onto his side. He kissed the end of D's upturned nose in a sudden swell of affection. D opened his eyes at the light touch. Leon stroked the side of his face smiling at him in a way that made things flip flop inside him.
"Now, let's try this again, D. I'm not blind. I don't understand all that is going on but I'm not stupid. If you're Grandfather is any indication you guys don't age the same way humans do. Right?" Leon asked the question quietly. He had a hunch that was at the root of the problem. It's why he'd done his best to sweep D of his feet literally. It's a lot harder to shut someone out after making love and he wasn't giving D the opportunity to rebuild his fences. D nodded into the palm of his hand and sighed unhappily.
"Okay, so is the problem you don't want to be stuck with me past my youth aging when you don't or is it because you don't want to be hurt when I die before you?" Leon tried not to sound to harsh or blunt. His own mortality didn't particularly bother him, in his line of work he could die tomorrow. Still he was dismayed when fresh tears welled up in his lover's eyes.
"No,no, don't cry. It's all right. I get the point. Come on now. We'll deal with that later, okay?" D sobbed in his arms for a few minutes and then kissed him hard on the mouth.
"It is as you say Leon-san but there is more you must know." D whispered the words against Leon's chest.
"Such as, you know who your attacker is?" D nodded miserably burying himself against Leon seeking comfort. Leon rubbed circles into his back giving him as much of himself as he could.
"Yeah, I kinda thought that might be the case. I take it this is going to some long improbable story isn't?" D nodded again.
"I'm not going to like most of it, am I?" Another nod. Leon removed his arms from around D. He got out of bed and bent over D's body. He tucked the blankets around him watching in a nameless satisfaction as D immediately curled into the warm hollow where his body had been.
"All right then, first things first. I'm gonna refresh your tea and my coffee. I'm gonna call my work place and make sure everything's square there. Then my friend I'm gonna climb right back in this bed with you. You are going to stand and deliver and tell me all 'bout you and Q-Chan the amazing bat bunny come grandfather and anything else I wanna know. Anymore crap about coming to an understanding and I'm gonna give you an understanding repeat performance of the only thing I'm willing to accept. Got all that?" D rolled his eyes at him for a response.
"Of course, Detective, I mean Leon. Tell me is it normal procedure to conduct interrogations from your bedroom? And if so do I still receive my one telephone call?" Leon smiled at the return of D's bantering sarcasm. Much better. Much, much better indeed.
"Oh sure, as long as you're calling out for take out that is. I was thinking maybe I'd have me a little Chinese for lunch seeing as how I've already had a little Chinese for breakfast." Leon ducked the thrown pillow. It was early afternoon and the sun light that had started the day had faded into dark grey clouds. He was in the kitchen boiling water for D's tea when the first drops of rain came down. It quickly built into a full fledge storm rattling the windows in his apartment. Good, he thought to himself perfect weather to lounge in bed and hear a really good story. He sang under his breath as he put all the coffee and tea items on a tray.
"Getting to know you, humm, humm, getting to like you humm, humm, humm, hoping you like me to…." Leon moved the words around dropping some and picking up others but all in all the feel was the same. And for him at least it was a great feeling.
